HACKATHON FINALIST


ARTINGO was a submission for the Dina Wind Power of Art Hackathon sponsored by the Wind Foundation.

The competition prompt was to create a digital game inspired by the Philadelphia Museum of Art.









The application created a new way to explore the museum. A combination of Bingo & Treasure Hunt, ARTINGO is used as a new navigation tool for users, discover new artist, and find new interest in the arts. Create your own path that can be shared with friends, families, and future museum tools.

To play along, open the app, and a randomly generated image from the collection invites you to discover another gallery and the artwork it contains. Find the image and check your board. Match? Snap a pick it becomes a token on your board!







HOW TO START & PLAY


Log into Facebook, or play as a Guest.

Single Play – Explore the museum individually.
Group Challenge –You vs. Your Friends.
Random Play –You w/ Another Museum Visitor




THE BOARD


5x5 board with free middle space, randomly populated with the PMA’s collection. As one enters a gallery a ‘Feature Piece’ will appear. Wayfinding through color.

Unity– cross-platform game engine Google Cloud Vision API – to analyze and breakdown images
Google Cloud Platform Gaming Solutions – cross-platform game backed database, tracks players’ in-game progress
iBeacon – determines proximity to enabled hardware, allows for notifications
